Bike night tonight at Fowlers.....that being said the weather is dodgy......not raining at the moment but grey...
You didn't launch it into the Mersey?Didnt miss a fucking beat....!
Today after waking to a shit grey rainy day i waited till 4 O'clock as the sun had come out and the roads are dry. I decided to get some grub the very long way, meant to be shit again tomorrow.
Bit of a silly time to go out realy, the traffic was not as bad as i thought it would be but still a pain in the arse. I had to do some filtering and hit the side of a car with my number plate that shattered. Hope it damaged the Guinnesss car as the fucker wouldn't move over, selfish Guinness!!

I've had to put on the standard size billboard number plate till my new one turns up on Monday. The weather is looking crap tomorrow but ok Sunday so should be ok for Sammy Millers Jap day.
Did you meet Perry by any chanceBike night tonight at Fowlers.....that being said the weather is dodgy......not raining at the moment but grey...
What’s the rest of the tank insides like? Thst filler cap is horrendous. What is it? Corrosion? It looks like someone’s smeared a thick coat of 3Bond or JBWeld all over it.Finally managed to get the filler cap off the ZXR after a few attempts.
Fecking thing was stuck solid on the catch…
I tried spraying with release agent and taping with a rubber mallet (take note Wayne) and after a few attempts over a week I gave up.
A YouTube video showed a method where you take all the screws out, jack open the flap with plastic shim and with a watchmakers screw driver you tap the one security screw digging into the side of it to loosen it - then spin it out - didn’t work
So having purchased a new OEM filler cap for a reasonable price from CMSNL when I bought the other bits I needed, I drilled through the old cap and removed the security screw.
Low and behold it still wouldn’t come out
So 4 more strategic drillings above 4 more screws and finally it came off
This is what I found - in fact I’d already removed some of the crud before taking this picture…

Tonight I fathomed out how to strip the lock barrel out of the old cap.
I had a bit of head scratching as the assembly design had changedbut the old barrel still fitted…

Just fume deposits from 15 year old fuel on steel, rest of the tank is as new - old fuel hadn’t reacted with the alloy tank at allWhat’s the rest of the tank insides like? Swopped the two rear indicators on my 955i today for LED versions after realising the original one on the right was broke !
I'd bought these years ago with the intention of doing the swop some time ago, but never got round to it. Anyway, they're now swopped, at least on the rear, just need to buy some more for the front now, (plus two more for the Kawasaki Z900RS on-going fork swop !!) !!
Before,

And after, obviously it now needs a LED specific indicator relay & the pin-outs are noyt the same so that's nota straight swop !!
