True Story

We are currently staying 3 nights in a dog friendly hotel in North Yorks visiting various picture-skew market towns.

Packing before we set off on Sunday

Elsie "Ron are we taking that small blue bag which fastens onto a suitcase?"

"Which one Elsie?"

"The Samsung"

"I think it's Samsonite"

We’ve been in Londistan, Eaton and Windsor for a week - did 30,000 steps most days 🥵

Dropped Mini Ex at her sisters in Suffolk for a week on the way back and then went to our favourite country pub when back near York yesterday…

Spent a fortune 💰 💰💰💰💰💰 😮

Just back from a few days away in Harrogate, what a lovely town it is. Must be one of the very nicest in the UK. Everyone i spoke to was friendly, lots of old characterful buildings, plenty of parks and green spaces, a huge amount of dog friendly establishments along with dozens of restaurants. I had quite possibly the best Thai meal I've had outside of Thailand at a place called Sukhothai, weeping tiger steak( not tiger) and fishcakes, fan fuckin tastic.
Very little rubbish on the streets , I didn't see a single Turkish barber, bookies or Big Issue seller. Maybe there are some but if so they are well out of the way.It is noticeably healthy, wealthy and white and seems to be thriving despite the lack of diversity is our strength. Quelle surprise.
I'm a country bumpkin at heart but if i had to live in a town Harrogate would definitely be on the list.

My wife's niece and family live in Harrogate (her husband is an accountant of sorts), and the fookin' traffic drives me mad (pardon the pun)
