I take it they're reporting on climate change scare-mongering from lefty half-wits: OMG it's 26 degrees in July. The oceans will boil and the fish will die. Bollocks. Mackerel are pelagic fish and as such they roam vast areas of ocean. If the water column where they swim us too warm in shallow inshore waters, they'll fuck off out to sea. Unlike climate change catastrophists, mackerel aren't stupid. However, given that as well as roaming our temperate seas they also inhabit tropical waters which are much warmer than ours, I doubt a few nice summer days in the UK is going to cause a piscine mass extinction event off the coast of Torquay, nor a mass exodus.
