What the feck have you done today?

I only wear Bridgedale Socks, quality stuff, some are 20 years old, still fine, go in the dryer too.
In the winter the summit version , in the summer the lightweight ones
Just checked out their website. Blimey, they're not cheap... But then again if a pair lasts 20 years it'll be cheaper in the long run than keeping buying chuckaway ones.
The heavyweight knee-length ones I'd want for winter working are £48.50 a pair.... But the £6.50 ones I got from Sports Direct have worn out after three years.
I like that they offer various lengths as well. Run-of-the-mill everyday socks are invariably too short for me. They rarely come above the tops of my boots when working or riding my bike, which is annoying. And draughty.

I may have to invest.

I have Under Armour socks, some of which have lasted over ten years (despite some rather indifferent laundry practices & protections over the years - domestic staff on air bases aren't the most conscientious folk on the planet).

You mean you don't employ your own valet? Loz doesn't have a Jeeves? I'm disappointed...

My eldest is pregnant as well, due in April.
She rang me tonight to tell me that the pram ensemble she has ordered has been reduced from £1800 to £1400.
I think that’s a hint that I’m £400 better off!
