Diet

My better half & I have been on a keto inspired diet since January. The results are great. Both feel strong, good energy & lost plenty of weight. I got a bit obsessed with the keto breath meter but thats me. I am driven or obsessed; who knows for sure. My wife has had a persistent cough since 2020; seen Drs, had cameras, taken lots of meds to no avail. Its now gone. I loved eggs but couldn’t eat them for years due to acid reflux. I can now eat them as often as I want. The best bit, we drink red wine by the gallon; its one of few drinks which doesn’t knock you out of keto; just pauses it for a while whilst the alcohol is cleared. Who’d of thunk that!!!

I am convinced that the majority of illnesses are caused by diet, and sugar (in all it's forms...all carbs convert to glucose or fructose) is the main culprit followed by seed oils.

And I don't agree with 'everything in moderation' either, because some elements build up over time in your system. We put it down to aging, but I reckon that process will be slowed down by taking the crap out.

I'm no saint, I have some carbs if I'm out...but I know about it the day after because I feel crap.

You might have told me that earlier!

I treat carbs like dessert i might have one if im out for a special occasion so its a tiny proportion of my dietary intake ... nobody will convince me to change from that ..

Last week I had probably the best meal I've ever had in the UK (Langdale Chase Hotel) and enjoyed every mouthful, and the wine that I had too.

That was thursday night, and it took me until late saturday before I felt back to normal. I wasn't ill, just, meh...

No regrets, but I'll only have carbs now if it's going to be worth it.
