What have you done on your bike today?

Today i've been out on the Harley for most of the day clocking up nearly 200 miles or so, i just haven't had enough time on it!! :) The engine is sweet but the fuel tank is to small, it just about holds a tenners worth of fuel. I'm going to get one of those plastic fuel cans to put on it just incase, 27 quid on Amazon.

I had to go to Halfords on the way home as my left handle bar grip came off in my hand, it's held onto the bars with 2 grub screws so had to get a cheap allen key set to do it up. When i got home i put some thread lock on the grub screws and tightened them up so that shouldn't happen again. It's been a realy nice day with more to come up to Saturday.(y)

So now you have Allen keys as well as some hammers........ 🤔

I’ve just realised I haven’t posted any photos for a couple of months, some must be gutted.
I’ve not got out on the Ducati for a bit, it’s had a dss warning light on since the end of last year and ‘cos I didn’t book it in at Cornerspeed soon after Xmas, it’s got to this part of the year before it could be done. It was the front wheel speed sensor.
Anyhoo, the BM has kept me mobile, I’ve put 5,000 miles on it since January, here are a limited number of photos.

The pointing on the wall and the top box spoil the last one.

Thanks Steve…I was starting to question the pointlessness of life - now I could take on the world!

5000 miles 👏

The sunset pic is still a cracker

Today i have been in the garage for a few niggles on the Harley to sort out, i lubricated all cables and throttle assembly!! The seat has become loose again but sorted that out, checked the oil level in the primary and the primary chain, all good, then put my new slightly illegal number plate on!! I then gave it a good deep clean and there are a few parts i want to take off and respray but that can wait for now.:) It's pissing down here so nothing better to do and meant to be dry Sunday so i'm gonna go down Sammy Millers for the auto jumble. It's a fiver to enter but you get discount for entry to the museum so will do that aswell.🤷‍♂️

From Oliver's Mount we went over to Thirsk to Teasdales as I wanted to have a sit on a Stelvio and V85 Guzzi, they also had a Norden 901 Expedition just in like what @Robarano has just bought.

The Stevio felt a bit top heavy.
The V85 fit and felt much better and I think looks better too - but maybe a bit under powered for the weight.
The Norden felt a little more cramped to the bars - but then the sales fella said they adjust forward.

Still thinking about what to replace the R1 with, but needs to be comfy 🤔

While there they said they would sell my 998 for me on commission and would be happy to try it for £13K having had a search on line at current listing values.

You'll also need a big bottle of Loctite & locking wire too, with a Harley !! 🤣
