What have you done on your bike today?

It looks to me like it still ain’t finished, half the bodywork’s missing

🤣🤣
It's a recreation of the real race bike not Loz's next Tamiya model silly 🤪

Finally got the chance to get out on the bike, no mine tho, the VFR needed a road test and check if any more flashing codes came up. So the brakes are fucking awesome now, EBC carbon ceramic pads are sweet, one finger operation, only used the rear brake to bed the pads in, after that not needed apart from one emergency stop. Electric fan now kicks in, but could do with a fan on both rads tbh. I forgot how good those VFR's are, smooth stable and handle's really well with a gorilla aboard, anyhoo just as I got to seaways the Fi light came on, so whilst having a brew I got the shorting wire I made and got the MAP code again, so the owner is gonna have to bite the bullet and a replacement found, I reset the errors again just to be sure and by the time I got to Driffield it was back on.
Took a couple of pics, just as I was leaving, an example of @WAYNE masturbatory machine turned up, very nice example.

I love the Black Shadow but i do prefer the 1952 Rapide, the year where they got the machine plumb even though they went on to 1955  I see that it has another sprocket on the left side for gearing. The wheels can be changed with no tools. Just undo the Tommy bar on the rear mudguard and lift to release the rear wheel that also is undone with a Tommy bar!!

Back home from 7 awesome dry sunny & warm days in Spain / from Burgos to just outside Segovia to Burgo de Osma - lovely luxury hotels (well I was 60 recently) fab food to ❤️ did quite a bit of sightseeing and even caught a bus - just under 4 euros for a 14 mile round trip into Segovia !!!

I hope to get a look at the Roman viaduct one day. It's an impressive feat of engineering and it's amazing that it's still standing.
How many mile did you cover?
1000 dry miles 0 wet - we did loads sight seeing - some amazing wildlife to with the eagles & vultures - saw a red squirrel to 🐿️

The viaduct is stunning - no cement just dry blocks - pretty incredible - the castle was awesome to - great vibe and not rammed - suckling pig was worth it to 🐷

No cement just dry blocks it’s pretty spectacular as is the castle - great town with 0 traffic and a lively vibe

1000 dry miles
0 wet !

0 motorway apart from a few miles of the M5 round Exeter

The roads are so perfect and so empty - saw vultures and eagles and even a red squirrel.

My bikes done more miles in Spain than the U.K.

Had a ride early on, up to Canon Hall near Barnsley for an egg and mushroom butty, called for a cuppa at my brothers in Penistown, came home the pretty way.

Went shopping and bought the stuff for a megachilli-non-carne, back home, cooked it, put it on a simmer and buggered off back out to take some pictures of the autumn progressing.

The little dot to the left of my helmet is Chatsworth. Top day.

Do you ever get a day when it feels like you’re “on it”, everything clicks, you’re totally at one with the bike, everything just flows and even the road seems devoid of other traffic ?

Had one of them today!👌😎🤙

A tankful just disappeared and now time for…

And…

Just to finish it off 🙂
You lucky bastard.. 😉
I had to work today because I've got too much on. It was beautiful up here today. 22 degrees and clear blue skies. I was itching to get out on the bike. There did seem to be quite a lot of traffic on the roads though.
I can't even light my log burner either because the door glass has broken and I've been waiting two weeks for a new piece to arrive.
I do have some cans of Doombar and half a bottle of scotch in the kitchen though. And a chicken and roast tatties have just gone in the oven so I may skip round to the pub for an hour. 😇
