What have you done on your bike today?

Yesterday I rode here for breakfast :-

It`s a working farm with a cafe/restaurant & butchers shop attached. Good food and nice friendly helpful staff but cor blimey Guvnor you should check out the butchery. I`m not sure if we have anyone on the carnivore diet on here, can`t recall anyone mentioning if they were but the meat all looked fantastic. If I`d been in the car not on the bike I`d have bought loads. I don`t think I`ve seen so much quality meat on display since I was invited to mark the ladies at a naked Can Can dance exhibition back in 1982. Happy days they were.....

Well, after being “like a dog with two tails”on Friday/Saturday, happy with my new teeth, Saturday afternoon I was experiencing some discomfort and had to take my interim denture out, even though I was told to keep them in to kerb any bleeding.
I’ve left them out, but I have taken a Dremmel to them, it’ll be reyt.
I’ve not had any solid food since Friday morning, been living on blitzed cereal for brekky, soup for dinner and rice pudding for tea, I’ve lost 4kg.

Anyhoo, today was the first time I’ve ventured out on the bike, my mate ChezzyMick told of a Midday Bike meet near Matlock (Starkholmes), happens on the first Wednesday of the. Month, so we went to have a butchers…

It’s very popular; apparently when it’s busy the field behind is full too.

It’s down the hill from Riber castle, which, when I was a kid was a ruin and housed a zoo, it was one of the locations where ‘Dead mans’ Shoes’ was filmed, it’s now been rebuilt and is apartments

Hope that cheers you up matey.
And if the sadness was for my gummy discomfort, I’m a lot better today than I was yesterday and I’m sure it’ll be reyt in the next couple of days.
Onwards and upwards.

Going to Manchester (Eccles) tomorrow to look at yet another van, that’s worth a sad face. 🙁

Good luck with the nashers buddy!

I’ve got ti say, as far as Katanas go, that’s about as good as they can look.

Put a new luggage rack on my Desert X. I ordered it from the Netherlands and it took 8 days to get here. 👍 I have a friend who helps me out, with mechanical stuff, and he said it is some of the nicest made and fitting gear he has seen in ages. Beautiful CNC work. Even I can appreciate that! It wasn’t even expensive.
I could mount a top box on it now but will just use a waterproof boaters bag and bungee cords

If you wanted to spend a bit more money you could attach some Kreiga straps to that and then use Kreiga bags US10, 20 or 30.

We used to call those fuck buddies in the old days. (as long as they were the opposite sex)

For a while now the front brake on the DR-Z has been binding despite cleaning the crud off the pistons. So today I stripped the calliper down and replaced the seals. It took a while to bleed because the pipe from the reservoir goes up in a wide arc above the bars before going down to the calliper on the LHS. All good now and so much easier to push about.
