Diet

"They have been linked to clogged arteries"

Can someone please tell me how this works?

Does it go a different route to normal food and straight into my arteries?

don’t remember my gran cutting the fat of the bacon/meat.

We have a high fat diet, butter/ lamb/bacon/cheese etc, no processed :poop:.

Later this week I'll making a chilli with 20% fat beef mince.

I have half a kg of 80/20 mince for lunch 2 or 3 times a week - pressed out into a big pyrex dish, bit of salt, some water - hot oven. Sprinkle some cheese on it for the last few minutes. Takes about 35 minutes and it's like having a massive burger without any of the crap.
Then that's me done for the day. The rest of the days it's beef skirt done the same but with a bit more water to make gravy, or a fried steak. This was last night's one;

I don't usually photograph my food, but my lad brought it round for fathers day - 12oz sirloin - would only fit diagonally

My wifes cholesterol is 7 with no high blood pressure and went to see a cardiologist because she refused statins point blank.. she has no medical issues ..our doctor is cool with that we eat predominantly high protein high fat food ... in my opinion my wife is in great shape for 58 and at 50 im the most lean I've ever been having trained since im 16 but followed a so called balanced diet up to my late 30s

mother-in-law was over 8, lived well into her late 80's.

Many years ago, I used to do a bit of running, for self about 4 times a week.
I was a svelte as a racing snake.

doctor said, your cholesterol is high, near 6, you need statins, I said, I'm running 4 times a week, maybe my diet needs altering etc. , nope, he said statins.
I didn't bother.

So, 5 was "normal" back then, now I believe it's 4?.

In the last 10 years its been lowered to a stupid level where they have a much bigger drug catchment... as we age its very unlikely to have cholesterol under 6 so these numbers only suit the pharma companies.. but nothing to be said about rocketing cancer levels from taking drugs for years on end👀

Do you know how they classify what's normal? It's a running average from tests - the median becomes the new normal.

So 'normal' is getting further and further away from 'optimal'. Meanwhile illness is increasing. Don't need to be a genius to work out why.
